LCU's men have an all-time record of 66-42-22 in home games. The best season at home was just their second in existence, as they went 8-1-1 in 2011.
Â
IN THEIR DEFENSE
Lubbock Christian notched its fourth shutout of the season in the win against the Patriots, blanking UT Tyler 1-0. The other three shutouts came against Adams State, Sul Ross and St. Edward's. Joao Catafesta filled in on the back line in Saturday's win and leads the team with 917 minutes played.
Â
KEEPING UP WITH THE CHAPS
LCU junior goalkeeper
Milo Paci was back in goal for the Lubbock Christian clean sheet, as he has been for all four this season. Paci had missed the previous game and a half due to injury, but has played 10 games this season, spending 843 minutes in goal. Against 105 shots faced, he has 33 saves on a .733 save percentage with a goals against average of 1.28. He has reached a season-high of eight saves in two different games, both against nationally ranked opponents. Junior
Arath Valdez filled in while Paci was injured, making 14 saves in 135 minutes of action.
Â
OFFENSIVE OUTPUT
Augusto Militao scored the lone goal that stood up as the game-winner against the Patriots, becoming the third different Chap with three scores so far this season.
Alex Lachevre and Catafesta have both also scored thrice. As a team, LCU is averaging 1.45 goals per game, which is the fourth-best mark in the conference. They attempt 12.8 shots per game and have put 42.6 percent of those on target. Eight total Chaparrals have scored overall, and six players have assists. Chap freshman

Â
LOOKING AT THE LONE STAR
Defending league and national champion Midwestern State is still atop the LSC standings, although they hold just a one-point margin after tying with Oklahoma Christian on Saturday. St. Mary's is right behind them with nine points. The only other two undefeated teams in the league are UTD and DBU, who both have three draws. With six points, Lubbock Christian is currently tied for fourth. The top six teams by points at the end of the regular season will advance to the LSC Tournament, which will be hosted Nov. 8-15.
Â
NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK
Lubbock Christian lost a lot from their 2025 LSC runner-up team, which means the 2026 edition of the Chaps have been relying on a number of newcomers. Of the five LCU players who have started all eight games so far this year, three – goalkeepers
Milo Paci and
Arath Valdez, defender
Max Moorahrend and midfielder
Alex Lachevre – are brand new to LCU. The Chaparral leader in shots with 20 – forward
Oli Robinson – is also new, and the Chaps have also relied heavily on newcomers
Finn Wijnen,
Tom Unwin and
Jackson Preece.
