LADY CHAP HEADERS
- Lubbock Christian University continues its homestand on Wednesday, hosting Texas A&M International at 5 p.m. at the LCU Soccer & Track Complex
- With a 4-1-3 league record, the Lady Chaps have 15 points, putting them in a tie for fourth place in the Lone Star Conference standings
- LCU junior midfielder Journey Curs had five points in Saturday's win against ENMU, scoring two goals and assisting another, becoming the first Lady Chap with a five-point match this season
- Freshman forward Addyson McElhaney scored the first goal of her collegiate career against the Greyhounds, making her the 11th different LCU player to score this year
- LCU has only lost twice through its first 12 matches, matching their best start to a season since 2016, when they did not suffer a third loss until the 16th game of the year

AWARD CENTRAL
Lubbock Christian University senior goalkeeper
Emma Wright was named the Lone Star Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, the league announced on Monday. This is the second time this season Wright has earned the award. Wright did not allow a goal and made six saves to help the Lady Chaps to a 2-0 week. The Longview, Texas, native made five saves in a 1-0 road match against UT Permian Basin. She made the only save required of her in the first half of a 4-0 win against Eastern New Mexico.

ALL THE WRIGHT PLACES
Wright has played a huge part in the success of LCU's defense so far this season. The senior has 51 saves, which is the fifth-most in the conference. Among league goalkeepers with at least 50 saves, her .836 save percentage is the highest. Wright has faced 128 shots this season across 11 games played with 961 minutes of action. He has allowed just 10 goals in that time, posting a 0.94 goals against average. She was also named LSC Goalkeeper of the Week for week four.

OFFENSIVE OUTBURST
The Lady Chaps netted four goals in the win against the Greyhounds, which is the most they have scored in a conference game this season. LCU is now averaging 2.083 goals per game, which is above average in the LSC. Lubbock Christian has an average of 13.8 shots per game through the first 12 contests, putting 50.6 percent of those on goal. LCU's 20 assists are the fourth most in the league.
Journey Curs leads the team with 11 points and is tied for the team lead with
Logan Holloway in goals. Both players have four apiece.

THE DEFENSE DOESN'T REST
Lubbock Christian notched their fifth shutout of the season on Saturday, blanking Eastern New Mexico 4-0. They have matched their 2025 shutout total with six games still left on the schedule. The last time they had more than five shutouts in a season was 2024, when they had six. LCU has a goals against average of just 0.92 this season, which is the sixth-best mark in the LSC. Lady Chap opponents are averaging just 11.8 shots per game and have put 49.3 percent of those shots on goal. Freshman
Araceli Patterson has anchored the back line, leading the team with 985 minutes of play in her inaugural collegiate campaign.

FIRST THINGS FIRST
Lubbock Christian continued their winning ways on Saturday when they scored the first goal in the game against the Greyhounds. LCU is now 6-0-0 on the season in games in which they score first, including 4-0-0 in games where they lead at halftime. Conversely, they are 1-2-2 in games where their opponent scores first. Their one comeback win this season came at Oklahoma Christian, when the allowed a goal in the sixth minute but came back to win 2-1.

WHERE THE HEART IS
Lubbock Christian is currently 3-1-2 at home after going 4-4-1 at the friendly confines last year. Including Wednesday's game, they have three home contests left this year. The LCU Soccer & Track Complex was completed in August of 2020 and features an AstroTurf playing surface, a Musco lighting system to allow for night games and stadium seating for 500 fans. LCU's women's team has an all-time record of 73-37-25 all-time in home games. They have only posted losing records at home twice in 15 seasons. They did not lose a home game in 2015 (7-0-2) and won a program-high eight home games in 2019 (8-1-1).

SCOUTING THE DUSTDEVILS
- TAMIU has not scored a goal in each of their last two games, losing 3-0 to Dallas Baptist and 1-0 to UT Dallas
- The Dustdevils average just 0.5 goals per game, which is the third-worst mark in the conference, while allowing 1.60 goals per game
- Maria Melendez has handled the majority of the goalkeeping duties, facing 124 shot with 36 saves on a .692 saver percentage
- Four different Dustdevils have found the back of the net so far this season, led by Milly Garcia, who has two goals
- TAMIU alumnus Jovany Macias leads the program and has since 2023 after previously serving as an assistant coach
