LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK• The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals are home for the middle game of a three-game home stand, which is their final home stand of the season. Their home finale on Oct. 25.
• LCU moved to 4-0-0 in conference play (9-3-0 overall) following a 3-2 conference home win over Rogers State.
• The Lady Chaps are 4-1-0 at home this season and 15-5-2 all-time in home games under head coach

STORY LINES• A 4-0-0 start in conference play marks the second consecutive season LCU has started 4-0-0 in conference. Last season, LCU opened the season 6-0-0 in conference play before falling in their final two games.
• LCU has outscored their opponents 15-4 in the first half this season. They have scored the first goal in 10 of their 12 games this season and they have won nine of the 10 games when scoring first. They have not won a game this season when surrendering the opening goal.

Brooke Wendl registered a two-goal game Saturday for a second consecutive game. It was her 11th career multi-goal game. Her second goal against RSU proved to be the game winning goal for her sixth of the season (13th in her LCU career). The junior from Plano, Texas leads the Heartland Conference in points (31, entered the weekend ranking tied for 10th nationally), points per game (2.8, entered the weekend ranking sixth nationally), goals (13, entered the weekend ranking tied for eighth nationally), goals per game (1.2, entered the weekend ranking fifth nationally) and game winning goals (6, ranks tied for second nationally).

Claudia Sanchez has nine goals on the season. If she records a 10th goal, it would give LCU two players with at least 10 goals on the season, which is something they have not had since Peta-Gaye Soman and Amber Brown-Longoria each had at least 10 goals in the inaugural 2010 season.
• LCU leads the Heartland Conference with 34 goals on the season (entered the weekend tied for 16th in the nation) and goals per game (2.8, which entered the weekend ranking tied for 14th nationally). Their 31 goals to enter the weekend already surpasses last season's total of 28.
• The Lady Chaps join St. Edward's as the only unbeaten teams in the Heartland Conference.
SCOUTING NEWMAN• The Jets enter the contest 5-6-1 and 1-3-0 in conference following a 2-0 shutout win Saturday at Texas Permian-Basin.
• Newman is 2-3-0 on the road this season.
• They entered the weekend without a goal in their last four games, but it ended with their first goal at UTPB. The dry spell ended at 453:19.
