WICHITA FALLS, Texas (October 10, 2017) – The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals head out for the lone road match of an eight-match stretch Tuesday, facing Midwestern State inside Ligon Coliseum. LCU (6-12) takes a two-match win streak into the contest, and they have won three of their last four tilts.

• Heading into the matchup, the Lady Chaps hold a 28-14 all time record against the Mustangs, which dates back to 1978. LCU won 3-2 in Lubbock in their prior meeting (Oct. 13, 2017). The last meeting in Wichita Falls, Texas was on Nov. 10, 2015 (3-0 LCU win). LCU has claimed the prior five meetings.
• The Mustangs are preseason picked ninth in the Lone Star Conference. They are currently 3-6 in conference after a 3-1 loss at No.15 Tarleton State. MSU has dropped their last three matches, with the last two coming against ranked foes (No.16 Angelo St. joining TSU).
• MSU ranks 56^th nationally in blocks per set with a mark of 2.08 per set. Raven Presley ranks sixth in the LSC with a team-leading mark of 1.0 blocks per set. 
• They lead the LSC in aces per set (1.65), ranking 79^th nationally.
 
GAME NOTES
• LCU is 2-5 in road matches this season and 1-2 in road matches against non-conference opponents.  They are 2-3 against Lone Star foes this season.
• The Lady Chaps rank 47^th nationally in digs (1,167) and 53^rd in digs per set (17.7), with Kelsie French ranking ninth individually with 6.1 digs per set. She is 11^th nationally in total digs with 401.
• Freshman Jaiden Kennedy ranks fifth in the Heartland Conference in total blocks (60) and ranks fifth in blocks per set (0.92).
• Of LCU's 16 matches, they have only won the opening set four times.  They are 4-0 this season when winning the opening set, which they have completed in their last two matches (2-12 when losing the opening set).
• Lauren Zoller ranks third in the Heartland Conference in attacks per set with a pace of 9.9 per set. She ranks sixth in the conference in kills per set (2.78). Nationally, Zoller is 69^th in total attacks with 642.
• Channing Stewart is coming off a 19-kill performance Saturday (3-1 win over Dallas Baptist), which was a season high for the outside hitter, who had not posted double figures in kills this season (prior to Saturday). Her career high is 25. The mark of 19 matches Emily Hanaway for the most by a Lady Chap this season.
