LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
• Lubbock Christian University has hit the road for the final time of the 2017 regular season for a pair of matches. Leading off, LCU will head to Dallas, Texas to take on Dallas Baptist University Thursday night. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. at DBU's Patriot Soccer Field.
• The Lady Chaps are riding a four-match win streak, which began with a 1-0 victory against Rogers State in Claremore, Okla. (9/30/17).
• LCU stands 5-3-0 on the road this season and with a 34-34-6 mark all-time in away contests. The Lady Chaparrals are 24-24-4 in away matches since head coach
Alex Denning took over in the 2012 season.
STORY LINES
• Lubbock Christian is riding a four-game shutout streak in which they have shut opponents out in each occasion. LCU keeper
Hannah Wise has recorded nine clean sheets this season and has not allowed a goal in her last 386:43 played, dating back to a 1-0 loss against Newman University (9/28/17).
• In addition to her nine shutouts, Wise has remained on the field for every minute of every game this season, pushing her goalie minutes played to 1,324:03 and ranking her 19
th nationally in the category.
• LCU is in need of a win to create some breathing room for themselves within conference standings. At the moment, the Lady Chaps are tied for second with Rogers State at 19 points. The Lubbock Christian women would need a win over Dallas Baptist in addition to a loss or tie from Rogers State in order to take sole custody of the second-place position.
• Denning's squad has enjoyed an offense that can strike from numerous positions. Of the Lady Chaparral's 22 goals this season, 10 different players have gotten into the scoring column. Senior
Claudia Sanchez leads the LCU roster with four goals following a game-winner in double overtime at home against St. Mary's.
• Lubbock Christian's defense has also been a point of emphasis this season, as the Lady Chap back line has allowed eight goals in 14 matches for a .544 goals against average.
SCOUTING DBU
• The Patriots are currently sitting at the top of Heartland Conference standings with 23 points with a 7-1-2 conference record. DBU's only loss in conference play came in a 1-0 defeat against St. Edward's in Austin, Texas (Sept. 6).
• Brittany Eccles leads the Patriots with four goals on the season. Eccles and Kaci Parks are tied at the top of the DBU roster with 10 points each.
• The Dallas Baptist offense has compiled 23 goals this year for a 1.64 goals per game average. The DBU women are averaging 12.9 shots per contest in addition to a .483 shots on goal percentage.
• Sophomore keeper Hope Koym has made 14 appearances on 14 starts for the Patriots. Koym has converted 43 saves for a .811 save percentage. The Odessa, Texas native has also tallied three shutouts this season.
• The Patriots hold a 9-3-2 overall record and a 6-1-1 mark when playing at home. Four of their five shutouts have come at Patriot Soccer Field. Additionally, Dallas Baptist has outscored their opposition by a 13-4 margin at home.
SERIES HISTORY WITH DBU
LCU will be looking to topple the Dallas Baptist after 2-1 loss to the Patriots at home earlier this season (Sept. 16). The Lady Chaps have never defeated DBU and hold an 0-6-1 record all-time in the series. This marks the eighth overall meeting and the seventh regular season showdown between the squads in a rivalry that stretches back to the 2013 season.
