Lady Chaps Wrapping Up Eight-Match Road Trip Tuesday in Portales

LCU Has Played 11 of 15 Matches Away From Home

PORTALES, N.M. (October 2, 2017) – Lubbock Christian University's long eight-match road trip finally comes to an end Tuesday at 7 p.m. (Central) inside Greyhound Arena, as the Lady Chaparrals play a non-conference contest against Eastern New Mexico University. LCU, who has played 11 of their 15 matches away from home, enters the contest with a 4-11 mark and they are 2-5 on the current eight-match trip, which has included stops in Arkansas, Kansas and Laredo, Texas. Portales marks their western-most stop on the trip.

• ENMU owns a 32-26 all-time series advantage over LCU. The Lady Chaps have won the prior two meetings, including a 3-2 win Sept. 9 in Lubbock. The last four meetings have gone five sets (Each team 2-2 in the stretch).
• The Greyhounds are preseason picked sixth in the Lone Star Conference. They feature Lone Star Conference Preseason Defensive Player of the Year Andrea Aguilar. They are currently tied for second in the conference with a 4-2 conference mark and entering Tuesday's match coming off a 3-1 win over West Texas A&M.
• Kaitlyn Kuna ranks second in the LSC and 45th nationally with 24 aces on the season. She had two against LCU in the prior meeting.
• Sarah Tuioti-Mariner had 21 kills in the prior meeting against LCU. She produced 22 kills in ENMU's win over West Texas A&M.
 
GAME NOTES
• LCU is 2-4 in road matches this season. Emily Hanaway leads LCU averaging 2.76 kills per set. Kelsie French also averages 5.6 digs per set in road play.
• The Lady Chaps rank 73rd nationally in digs per set (17.2), with Kelsie French ranking 22nd individually with 5.8 digs per set. She is 29th nationally in total digs with 316.
• Freshman Jaiden Kennedy ranks third in the Heartland Conference in blocks per set (0.96) and total blocks with 53 (ranks 89th nationally).
Camille Porco is coming off a 10-kill performance Saturday in LCU's 3-1 win over Texas A&M International, which tied a career high.  The match was her second match of the season, and in two matches played, Porco has 13 kills, two aces and five blocks.
Lauren Zoller ranks fifth in the Heartland Conference in attacks per set with a pace of 9.3 per set.
Emily Hanaway leads LCU in the current eight-match road trip with 67 kills through seven matches. She has a pace of 2.7 kills per set and has a .232 attack percentage.
