LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
• Lubbock Christian University will head north Thursday evening for a Heartland Conference matchup against Newman University. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. at the Jets' Wilkins Field.
• The Lady Chaps are looking to build off of an explosive 4-2 win over Texas A&M International in Laredo, Texas Saturday.
• LCU has performed better on the road than they have at home this season, holding a 1-1-1 record at LCU Soccer Field and a 4-2-0 record in away games. The Lubbock Christian women are 33-33-6 all-time and 23-23-4 under
Alex Denning in contests away from home.
STORY LINES
• The Lady Chaparrals have racked up 15 goals so far this season for a 1.67 goals per game average. Seven different LCU women have notched two goals this season, co-leading on the Lubbock Christian stat sheet.
• In five total meetings with the Jets, LCU has shutout Newman on four occasions. The one instance where NU scored turned into a 4-3 victory at home for the Jets (10/26/16).
• Lubbock Christian holds a 10-4 scoring advantage over Newman in the all-time series.

Haley Knesek's two goal performance against Texas A&M International tied her for fourth all-time with 13 career goals as a Lady Chap. A goal against the Jets would give her sole custody of the fourth place position for goals scored in LCU program history.

Hannah Wise currently ranks fourth in the Heartland Conference with a .733 goals against average. Wise has also logged 859:53 on the season listing her first in the conference and second nationally in the category.
• Lubbock Christian and Newman will head into Thursday night's matchup tied for fifth in Heartland Conference standings. Both hold a 5-3-1 overall record in addition to a 2-2-1 record in conference play.
SCOUTING NU
• On average, the Newman defense has allowed 3.89 shots on goal and 1.22 goals per contest.
• The Jets lead the Heartland with 22 goals scored in the 2017 campaign. Grace Linton ranks second in the conference and fifth in the nation with eight goals.
• Colleen Howland is averaging .556 assists per contest this season. Howland stands first in the Heartland and eighth nationally in total assists (5).
• Newman is a perfect 3-0-0 at home this season, outscoring opponents by an 8-2 margin on Wilkins Field.
• Ashley Sweetnam ranks eighth in the nation with 829:29 played this season. Sweetnam has played and started in all nine of Newman's matches producing 24 saves for a .686 save percentage.
