TIPOFF
Lubbock Christian University will wrap up play in the Malika Sports Thanksgiving Classic at 4 p.m. HST / 8 p.m. CT as they take on Hawai'i Pacific, who is hosting the event. The Chaps are looking to improve to 2-0 in the Aloha State after Wednesday night's comeback win against Hawai'i Hilo.

FIVE THINGS TO FOCUS ON
1 | LCU is shooting exactly 50 percent from the field this season, hitting 145 of their 290 attempted shots. Zach Stepp leads the team in shooting (minimum 10 attempts), hitting 57.1 percent of his attempts, but Jalen Brattain (56.7) Lloyd Daniels (52.6), Parker Hicks (52.4) and Rowan Makenzie (51.5) have all made more than half of their shots.

2 | Hicks notched his third double-double of the season on Wednesday with 12 points and 10 rebounds. He is currently the Lone Star Conference leader with an average of 10.4 rebounds per game. Of his 52 total rebounds, 44 have come on the defensive glass.

3 | LCU has struggled shooting three-pointers this season, with just a 35.9 shooting percentage, compared to 42.8 percent for the entire 2020-21 season. Stepp has help improve that mark over the last two games, going 8-for-12 combined from behind the arc against Arlington Baptist and Hawai'i Hilo. Makenzie (46.2) is the only other Chap shooting over 40 percent (minimum 10 attempts).

4 | Hawai'i Pacific is 3-1 so far in the 2021-22 season, but a pair of those wins are against Northwest Indian College. They also beat Alaska, but lost to Alaska-Anchorage in the season-opener.

5 | Hicks, Daniels, Muhammad and Makenzie are all averaging double-figures through the first five games of the season, led by Hicks at 17.2 points per game. Daniels is at 15.0 points per game, followed by Muhammad at 14.4 and Makenzie at 10.6 points per game.
