SALEM, Va. (March 8, 2021) – The Lubbock Christian University competitive cheer team won their second CCA (Christian Cheerleaders of America) cheer title over the weekend, competing at the CCA Collegiate Championships inside Salem Civic Center.
LCU cheer were named 2021 Grand Collegiate Champions for their competition performance under head coach
Kayli Durham. They also won first place in their division. Paityn Johnston received an individual honor as "Tumble Champion." It is the second consecutive team honor for LCU, which also claimed the division title and were Collegiate Grand Champions in 2020 at the CCA Collegiate Championships in Fayetteville, N.C.
