LOOKING AT WTAMU
- Wednesday's meeting marks the 50th all-time matchup between the Lady Chaps and Lady Buffs. WTAMU has had the upper hand in the series with a 36-12-1 all-time series lead. LCU has at least one win in each of the past two seasons against WT, as they went 1-3 against WT in 2020 (played spring of 2021 due to COVID) and they won the only meeting last season (3-2 Nov. 6 in Lubbock). LCU is 6-14 all-time in Lubbock against WT, winning two of the prior three meetings.

- WTAMU went 26-5 last season, going 14-3 in LSC play (finished tied for third with LCU). Their 2021 season ended in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Championships, falling 3-1 to Washburn in Tampa, Fla. The success led to a No.1 LSC Preseason Poll ranking and they head into Wednesday's match with an 18-4 record, which includes a 10-0 record in LSC play. They sit atop the LSC standings as the only unbeaten team in LSC play.

- The Lady Buffs are both 8-1 at home and on the road this season. They are 6-0 on the road in LSC play and their 8-1 road mark is their best road record since a 10-1 road record in 2019.

- WT leads the LSC in kills per set with 13.76, which is 23rd nationally. Torrey Miller ranks fourth in the LSC, leading the squad with 293 kills, which is 32nd nationally. Her average of 3.91 kills per set is 30th nationally and fourth in the LSC.

- West Texas A&M ranks 17th nationally in blocks per set, with a conference-best 2.4 per set. Taytum Stow leads the LSC and is 10th nationally in blocks per set with a pace of 1.27 per set. She has 85 total blocks, ranking 32nd nationally.

LOOKING AT CU
- LCU and the Aggies have met six prior times, with the two programs split 3-3 in the all-time series. All Prior to last season's LSC meeting, which resulted in a 3-0 LCU win in Lawton, Okla. on Sept. 24, 2021, the previous five meetings were neutral site meetings (the two teams have never met in Lubbock). The first two meetings (Oct. 5, 1979 and Oct. 18, 1980) were played in Stillwater, Okla. at Oklahoma State hosted tournaments. LCU and Cameron met in Abilene, Texas in 1996 (Sept. 27, 1996) and 2009 (Sept. 4, 2009) and in Canyon, Texas in 2005 (Aug. 26, 2005).

- Cameron has an 5-20 record and seeking to shake a 16-match losing streak. They are tied for 16th (last) in the LSC with a 0-10 conference record. They are 0-6 at home this season and face Eastern New Mexico Friday prior to hosting LCU.

- The Aggies lead the LSC in blocks with 204, which ranks sixth nationally. Caitlyn Henderson leads the team with 82 blocks, which ranks sixth in the LSC and 44th nationally.

- Meagan Jimenez, a product of Lubbock's Monterey High School, leads Cameron in digs with 317 and a pace of 4.17 per set (both rank 12th in the LSC).

- Arianna Navarrete leads the Aggies in kills, ranking seventh in the LSC with 267. She averages 3.07 per set with 3.07. Her sister Anjolie leads the LSC with two triple-doubles this season.

LADY CHAP NOTES

The Lady Chaps fell to 1-7 in road play (all eight road games are against opponents that have combined for a 42-7 home record). Kiana Fallaha leads LCU with 62 kills on the road and Lily Bickley leads the squad in kills per set (2.27). Kayton Genenbacher averages 8.7 assists per set and Kendall Mahaney has 3.66 digs per set. Home teams are averaging 7.4 aces and 8.9 blocks per match against LCU this season. At home, LCU is 7-3 this season. Sage Chain leads LCU in kills at home with 91 on the season (Fallaha is second with 90 and leads LCU with 2.57 kills per set). Chain also leads LCU in blocks at home with 44 (pace of 1.16 per set). Sticking to record trends, LCU is 7-0 when leading in kills and 2-14 when trailing in the category. Bizarrely, LCU is 1-6 when leading in blocks in a match.

- Lily Bickley heads into Saturday's match as the Lady Chaps team leader in kills (195), with Kiana Fallaha (193) and Sage Chain (185) completing LCU's top three kill leaders. Bickley leads LCU in kills per set (2.5) and Chain is LCU's leader in points per set (2.96). In 12 conference matches, Bickley is hitting .285 and has an attack percentage over .500 in three LSC matches. She has an attack percentage of .269 on the season, ranking 17th in the LSC.

- Setter Kayton Genenbacher has eight double-doubles on the season (leads LCU). Genenbacher averages 9.8 assists per set (third in the LSC and 53rd nationally), .21 aces per set and 2.52 digs per set. The sophomore is second in the LSC in total assists (844), which is 18th nationally. She posted a career-high 23 digs Oct. 7 at Angelo State to complete a stretch of fourth consecutive matches with a double-double.

- Sophomore libero Kendall Mahaney has nine matches of at least 20 digs this season. Mahaney leads the team with 379 digs (fifth in the LSC and 40th nationally) and is at a pace of 4.41 per set (seventh in the LSC).

They have posted at least five solo blocks in a match four times this season, which is the most in a single season since 2019. The Lady Chaps rank sixth in LSC matches with 2.03 blocks per set. Kalli Dalland (1.0, sixth) and Sage Chain (.93, 10th) rank in the top-10 in the LSC in blocks per set in conference matches.

- Lily Bickley (106), Kiana Fallaha (98), Sage Chain (96) and Aaliyah Gray (92) all have at least 90 kills in LSC contests. Fallaha leads LCU with 2.33 kills per set in conference matches. Chain leads the Lady Chaps with a pace of 2.76 points per set in LSC contests. LCU is hitting .186 in conference matches and opponents are at a .196 attack percentage against LCU in conference. LCU is led in blocks in conference play by Sage Chain (42) and Kalli Dalland (38).

- Wednesday, the Lady Chaps meet a nationally ranked opponent for a second time this season. LCU fell to No.13 West Texas A&M (3-0) on Sept. 9 in San Angelo, Texas. Last season, they went 1-4 against AVCA Top-25 nationally ranked programs, defeating No.25 West Texas A&M in Lubbock on Nov. 6, 2021. LCU is 3-12 since 2015 against nationally ranked programs.
