LOOKING AT WT
- Wednesday's meeting marks the 51st all-time matchup between the Lady Chaps and Lady Buffs. WTAMU has had the upper hand in the series with a 37-12-1 all-time series lead. LCU has at least one win in three of the prior four seasons leading into last season, but WT swept the Lady Chaps last season, winning 3-0 in San Angelo, Texas (Sept. 9, 2022) and 3-0 in Lubbock (Oct. 19, 2022). LCU is making their first trip to Canyon since Feb 23, 2021 (lost 3-0). They are 5-19 all-time in Canyon and are seeking their first win at WT since Sept. 5, 2015 (lost five straight meetings in Canyon).

- WT was preseason picked first in the Lone Star Conference preseason poll. The Lady Buffs claimed their fourth NCAA national title (first since 1997) last season with a 33-4 record. They had a perfect 16-0 record in LSC play.

- West Texas A&M has won their last 10 matches and they aim to build on a 13-0 home mark on the season. The Lady Buffs are 20-2 overall on the season and 9-1 in LSC play (they are tied atop the LSC with Angelo State). The blemish was a 3-2 loss in their LSC opener at Dallas Baptist (Sept. 22). They have won their last 25 matches at home (second-longest active streak in Division II).

- The Lady Buffs rank 13th nationally and second in the LSC in total blocks with 192. They block at a pace of 2.34 per set, which is 20th nationally. The success comes from a balance of front line defense that has Taytum Stow (1.1) ranking sixth in the LSC and Carly Evetts (0.96) ranking 13th in blocks per set.

- Bryli Contreras enters Wednesday's match ranking fourth in the LSC (25th nationally) in digs (402) and fifth (34th nationally) in digs per set (4.9). She has 78 digs over the prior three matches.

LADY CHAP NOTES
- LCU was one of 13 unbeaten teams this season before falling 3-2 Sept.14 to UT Permian Basin. The season start was their best since opening 2010 with an 8-0 record. The loss also ended an eight-match win streak if you include their season-ending win last season (their longest under head coach Keith Giboney and the longest streak since a 12-match win streak in 2018).  The Lady Chaps went into conference play with an 8-2 record on the season and their pre-conference record was their best 10-match start to their season since opening the first 10 matches of the 2014 season with a 9-1 record. They are 6-6 in LSC play (10th in the standings) and have won six of their last nine matches. They enter the contest 14-8 overall (they have already surpassed last season's 11-win season win total) following a 3-1 win Saturday over Texas A&M International.

- Kalli Dalland had a match-high and career-high 10 blocks in Oct. 14's win over UT Permian Basin. The mark was the highest total in the rally scoring era by a Lady Chaps member at home and matches as the highest single-match total since 2008 by a Lady Chap (Dalland is the third Lady Chaps member to complete the task). The 10 blocks were the most by a Lady Chaps member since Christiana Tavo had 10 in Wichita, Kan. against Tarleton State on Sept. 24, 2015. Dalland had nine block-assists to match the most by a Lady Chap this season, as Lily Bickley had nine against UT Tyler Sept. 30 at home (the last time that had been completed prior to the two this season was Sept. 16, 2017). Dalland leads the LSC and is sixth nationally in total blocks (101) and is third with a pace of 1.2 per set (21st nationally).

- Genenbacher has 12 double-doubles this season (23 in career) and enters Wednesday leading the LSC in assists (838, 20th nationally) and in aces (36) while ranking third in assists per set (9.74, 44th nationally). Her assists are fueling a Lady Chaps offense that rank eighth in the LSC in kills per set (12.8) and is hitting .205 on the season (seventh in the LSC). Genenbacher surpassed 1,500 career assists on Sept. 23 (at Oklahoma Christian) and has 838 on the season on the season and has 1,924 in her career.

- Kiana Fallaha ranks fifth in the LSC in kills per set (3.4) and fourth in kills (296). She is sixth in the LSC in points per set with 3.8. Fallaha is fourth in the LSC (31st nationally) with a pace of 10.8 attacks per set and has produced over 40 attacks in 13 matches this season. Against TAMIU (last Saturday), she notched her 11th double-double of the season (and of her career) and she has double-double performances in seven of her last 13 matches.

- LCU ranks 11th in the LSC (75th nationally) in digs per set (16.3), and it has been a balanced effort, as the Lady Chaps do not have any representation in the top-15 in conference leaders in digs. Chloe Menard is LCU's leader with 3.43 digs per set, as she has 295 total digs on the season. Four Lady Chaps (Menard, Genenbacher, Olivia Elofsson and Fallaha) have at least 2.6 digs per set.

- Lubbock Christian is 5-2 in true road matches this season, with their most recent road match resulting in a 3-0 LCU loss at Texas Woman's in Denton on Oct. 11. LCU has 377 kills on the road, with Kiana Fallaha averaging 3.33 kills per set. She averages 3.8 points per set in road matches. Chloe Menard averages 3.7 digs per set (leads team) and has nine aces in road matches behind 12 from Kayton Genenbacher. Kalli Dalland has 30 blocks and averages 1.0 per set on the road. Genenbacher has an average of 9.6 assists per set in 30 road sets played.

- Kiana Fallaha (3.1) and Lily Bickley (2.7) are leading LCU in LSC play in kills per set. Fallaha, ranking 12th with 3.5 points per set, and Bickley, ranking 28th with 3.0 points per set, have LCU with two players in the top-30 in conference in points per set. Chloe Menard leads LCU with 3.3 digs per set and ranks tied for 14th in the LSC with 12 aces. Kayton Genenbacher, leading the conference in LSC play with 467 assists and third in assists per set (9.7), leads LCU and leads the conference in LSC play in aces with 19 (also ranks 10th with 0.40 per set). Lily Bickley leads LCU in LSC play in hitting percentage at .300 (16th in LSC). Mix in Lacie Schooley ranking 20th in hitting percentage (.286) and Kalli Dalland ranking 24th (.262), it has LCU with three players in the top-25 in the conference for hitting (in LSC matches).
