If LCU wins both of their remaining matches, they need both of the following to take place:

- Texas A&M International (7-6, currently in ninth place) would have to lose one of their three remaining matches (at St. Edward's, home against Cameron and West Texas A&M)
If LCU wins ONE of their remaining matches, they need both of the following to take place:
- UT Permian Basin (currently in eighth place) would have to lose both of their two remaining matches (at UT Tyler, at Dallas Baptist)
- Texas A&M International (currently in ninth place) would have to lose two of their three remaining matches (at St. Edward's, home against Cameron and West Texas A&M)
LCU has the tie-breaker over both UTPB and TAMIU, including the tie-breaker in a three-way scenario. The Lady Chaps match at WNMU is the last scheduled regular season match scheduled by the LSC. All prior LSC matches will be completed, leaving LCU knowing their fate entering the match.
LOOKING AT EASTERN NEW MEXICO
- LCU and Eastern New Mexico are meeting for the 65
th time all-time (fifth meeting as conference opponents). ENMU leads the all-time series with a 34-30 mark after a 3-1 win over the Lady Chaps last season in Portales, N.M. (Nov. 2, 2022), which ended a four-match win streak in the series by LCU (Lady Chaps has won six of the last eight encounters). LCU is 17-11 against ENMU all-time at home. The Lady Chaps have won the previous four meetings in Lubbock, with the last meeting in Lubbock (Nov. 5, 2021) resulting in a 3-1 LCU win. The prior six meetings have all gone four sets and have resulted in 3-1 results, with a streak of 10 matches played since a either team won by a 3-0 final (ENMU won the last match ending in straight sets on Oct. 1, 2013 in Portales).
- ENMU was preseason picked 14
th in the Lone Star Conference preseason poll. The Greyhounds were coming off a 15-13 season from a season ago, which included a 6-10 stretch of conference play. They played just eight of their 28 matches at home.
- Eastern is 9-19 this season and they have a 1-13 record in the LSC. They recently ended a 12-match losing streak with wins over Southwest (N.M.) and Cameron, but have since fell to West Texas A&M and Wayland Baptist, to bring a two-match losing skid into Wednesday's contest.
- Despite falling 3-2 in their previous match against Wayland Baptist, ENMU had some big statistical feats accomplished. Mikaela Garvin tied the Greyhound single-match kill record with 29. Along with their four blocks, Garvin posted the third most points in a single match, with 32.0 points being the most since Lindsey Schiely had 34.0 points in 2005. In addition, Gracelyn Stubbs notched her third triple-double of the season, becoming the fifth player in all of Division II to record three triple-doubles this season (26 assists, 13 kills, and 10 digs).
- Getsemani Carrasco leads the LSC and is seventh nationally in total digs with 537. Carrasco also leads the LSC and is sixth nationally with a per-set rate of 5.65. She did not play against WBU.
LADY CHAP NOTES
- LCU was one of 13 unbeaten teams this season before falling 3-2 Sept.14 to UT Permian Basin. The season start was their best since opening 2010 with an 8-0 record. The loss also ended an eight-match win streak if you include their season-ending win last season (their longest under head coach
Keith Giboney and the longest streak since a 12-match win streak in 2018). The Lady Chaps went into conference play with an 8-2 record on the season and their pre-conference record was their best 10-match start to their season since opening the first 10 matches of the 2014 season with a 9-1 record. They are 7-7 in LSC play (10th in the standings) and have won seven of their last 11 matches. - LCU ranks 11th in the LSC (76
