LUBBOCK, Texas - The Lubbock Christian University Track and Field program kicked off the 2024 Indoor season with seven top-10 finishes at the Stan Scott Invitational hosted by Texas Tech.
Cayden Butler was the top performer for the men's team placing third in the high jump finishing with a height of 2.05 meters.
George Garcia followed his impressive freshmen season with a fourth place finish in the 400 meter dash running a time of 48.04.
Chris Rader also finished top-10 in the 400 coming in 10th place running a 49.28.
On the women's side,
Anna Salisbury was the top performer. Salisbury placed fifth in the 400 meter dash running a 56.34.
Jozlyn Arana also finished top-10 in the 400 running a time of 57.35.
Alyssa Singletary placed sixth in the high jump finishing with a height of 1.60 meters. The final top-10 finisher for the Lady Chaps was
Madelyn Merrell. Merrell ran a time of 5:21.97 in the 1-mile to take home seventh place.
