Chaps Claim Six Medals at LSC Indoor Championships

Women's 4X400 Meter Relay Takes Home the Lone Gold for LCU

NORMAN, Okla. - The Lubbock Christian University Track & Field program competed at the LSC Indoor Championships Friday and Saturday. The men's team scored 51.5 points to finish in sixth place and the women placed eighth with 21 points. 

West Texas A&M claimed conference titles for both genders. Racking up 252 points on the women's side and 222 on the men's. 

The women's 4X400 meter relay team took home the lone gold medal for LCU. The team of Elizabeth Florez, Anika Beukes, Reanna Argullin, and Anna Salisbury finished first with a time of 3:48.78. 

On the men's side, Nathaniel Luna ran a 6.81 in the men's 60 meter dash finals to take home the bronze medal. Luna also claimed a second place finish in the men's 200 meter dash, running a 21.74 to take home the silver. 

Keitron Boyd also medaled in the men's 200 meter dash, taking third place with a time of 21.86. 

Luna and Boyd joined George Garcia and Chris Rader on the men's 4X400 meter relay team. The team ran a 3:16.14 to finish in third place. 

Ose Olumese won the only medal in a field event for LCU, finishing third in the men's triple jump. He finished with a final mark of 14.0 meters.
