LUBBOCK, Texas (October 10, 2025) – In a night to remember inside the Rip Griffin Center, Lubbock Christian University celebrated its
Pink Out match and another milestone moment as senior
Lily Bickley hammered down her 1,000th career kill to lead the Lady Chaps (14-4, 6-0 LSC) past Cameron 3-1 (25-16, 25-18, 25-27, 26-24). The victory extended LCU's win streak to 10 matches, their longest since a 12-match run in 2018, while remaining one of only two unbeaten teams in Lone Star Conference play.
Bickley needed 14 kills entering the night to reach the 1,000 mark and delivered 15 kills, making her the first Lady Chap to reach 1,000 kills since 2015 (Kasey Deterding and Maddie Johnson). She is the 34th active NCAA Division II player to reach the milestone and just the third for LCU under the current rally-scoring era (since 2008).
The Lady Chaps were fueled by balance and depth, totaling 64 kills — tying the seventh-most in a four-set match in program history and matching their season high.
Bryleigh Schweer was dominant on both ends, recording 11 kills on .375 hitting and a match-leading seven blocks, tying the season high for any LCU player.
Camryn Blair added 12 kills, her third double-digit outing in the last four matches, while freshman
Emilee Sikora contributed 11 kills for her 10th match in double figures this year.
Setter
Camdyn Sears notched her 10th double-double of the season, dishing out 49 assists to go with 10 digs and a career-high-tying seven kills. On the back row,
Abby Dominguez was once again the anchor, leading all players with 24 digs—her seventh 20-plus dig outing this season.
After cruising through the first two sets, the Lady Chaps faced adversity in the third when the Aggies stole a 27-25 win—Cameron's first set win over LCU since 2009. LCU rebounded in the fourth behind clutch swings from Bickley and Schweer and late aces from
Olivia Elofsson, closing out the 26-24 finish for their fifth consecutive home victory.
The Aggies (4-13, 0-5 LSC) , who had a double-double from Kayla Eggiman (13 digs, 10 kills) ended a 14-set skid to LCU with their third-set win but couldn't sustain the momentum late.
Game Notes
» Entering the match needing 14 kills to reach 1,000 career kills, Bickley produced a match-high 15 kills to become the first member of the Lady Chaps to reach 1,000 career kills since Kasey Deterding and Maddie Johnson each reached the mark in the 2015 season.
