Double the Honors: Bickley, Sears Claim LSC Weekly Awards for LCU

It is the First Time For LCU, in Their LSC Era, to Claim Multiple Weekly Honorees, as Sears Makes League History

RICHARDSON, Texas (October 21, 2025) – Lubbock Christian University volleyball continued its banner season on Tuesday as senior middle blocker Lily Bickley was named Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week, while freshman setter Camdyn Sears swept both Setter of the Week and Freshman of the Week honors following dominant performances in a pair of road victories.

Bickley and Sears powered the Lady Chaparrals to wins at UT Tyler and UT Dallas, extending LCU's winning streak to 13 matches and keeping them unbeaten in Lone Star Conference play (9–0).

A senior from Fort Worth, Texas, Bickley turned in one of her most efficient two-way weeks of the season, averaging 4.00 kills per set on a .410 hitting percentage while ranking among the league's top-five in blocks per set (1.43). She totaled 28 kills, 10 blocks, and 35.0 points across two matches, leading LCU to its best conference start in the program's NCAA era.

She opened the week with 12 kills and six blocks (four solo) in a sweep at UT Tyler (Oct. 17), with her four solo blocks tying for the second-most by an LCU player in a single match since rally scoring began in 2008. Two days later, she delivered 16 kills on a .556 hitting clip and four more blocks in a four-set win at UT Dallas, marking her 52nd career double-digit kill effort.

Meanwhile, Sears delivered a record-setting week as the floor general of the Lady Chaps' offense. The freshman from Midland, Texas, averaged 15.29 assists per set across seven total frames, producing 45 assists and 13 digs in the sweep at UT Tyler before an historic 62-assist, 11-dig performance in the four-set victory at UT Dallas.

Her 62 assists tied the program record for a four-set match in the rally-scoring era and matched the highest total in NCAA Division II this season for a four-set contest. The performance also stands as a UT Dallas opponent record and the highest four-set total in recorded Lone Star Conference history (since 2015).

Sears' 107 total assists led all setters in the LSC for the week, as she guided an LCU attack that hit .280 and averaged 16.7 kills per set. She also recorded her 13th and 14th double-doubles of the season—her fourth and fifth in a row.

The awards mark a week of firsts for the program. Sears becomes the first player in Lone Star Conference history to earn both Setter of the Week and Freshman of the Week honors in the same week. Additionally, it is the first time in LCU's LSC membership era that multiple Lady Chaps have received conference weekly awards in the same week.

Bickley becomes the second LCU player this season to claim Offensive Player of the Week honors, joining Jade Workman (Oct. 7). She is also the program's third offensive honoree since 2021, alongside Workman and Kiana Fallaha (Sept. 12, 2023).

Sears, meanwhile, continues to add to her historic freshman campaign, now owning five total weekly awards this season — three Freshman of the Week and two Setter of the Week honors.

The Lady Chaparrals (13–4, 9–0 LSC) return to action Friday at 6 p.m. in Laredo, Texas, visiting Texas A&M International inside the Kinesiology and Convocation Building. The match marks the third stop on LCU's current five-match road stretch.
