KINGSVILLE, Texas (October 25, 2025) – Lubbock Christian rode balanced offense and a stifling all-around effort to a 3–1 road victory over Texas A&M–Kingsville on Saturday afternoon at the Steinke PE Center, winning 25–21, 25–17, 15–25, 25–20. The result pushed the Lady Chaps' streak to 15 consecutive wins and improved LCU to 19–4 overall and 11–0 in Lone Star Conference play.
LCU's attack featured several efficient outings.
Lily Bickley finished with 10 kills and hit .364, marking her 54th career double-figure kill match and her 15th this season.
Jade Workman added 12 kills (.320) for her eighth double-figure match of the year, while
Emilee Sikora contributed 13 kills — her 13th double-figure performance of the season. Freshman
Camdyn Sears posted 42 assists and 18 digs, recording her 15th double-double of the season and her sixth straight match with a double-double. On the front line,
Bryleigh Schweer had a balanced line (11 kills, six blocks, two aces) and led LCU with 16 team points. Defensively,
Abby Dominguez anchored the back row with 20 digs — her ninth 20+ dig match this season.
Kingsville (14–7, 6–5 LSC) showed life in the third set, hitting .538 as a team behind strong attacking from Natalee Rushand Rylan Pollard, but the Comets could not sustain that level across the match. TAMUK finished with 56 kills and 12 team blocks; their middle-set surge forced LCU into a rare slip, but the Lady Chaps responded in the fourth to close out the road win.

Lubbock Christian opened the first set with a 1-0 lead following an attack error by Rylie Barnett. The teams exchanged points early, with Rylan Pollard contributing a pair of kills for the Hogs to keep the score tight. The Chaps pulled ahead with a series of scoring actions, including a service ace by
Olivia Elofsson during a 7-0 run, to lead 15-8.
Lily Bickley and
Emilee Sikora each had four kills in the frame, and despite a late push by TAMUK, including a service ace and a block by Madelyn Wallace, LCU secured the set 25-21.
SET 2 | LCU 25, TAMUK 17
The Chaparrals clinched the second set against the Javelinas with a 25-17 victory, building momentum through a series of effective plays. The set began with LCU overcoming an initial deficit of 0-2, sparked by a service error from TAMUK and a service ace by Elofsson. Sikora contributed significantly with three kills, including a crucial one at 9-8, that helped extend LCU's lead. A consistent offensive display from
Jade Workman, who tallied multiple kills towards the set's conclusion (finished with four in the set), pushed the visitors ahead with a 9-1 run for a 21-13 lead. LCU sealed the set when Bickley delivered the final point with assistance from
Camdyn Sears. Sikora led LCU with five kills in the frame.
SET 3 | TAMUK 25, LCU 15
The Lady Chaps opened the third set with a quick 5-1 lead, highlighted by two consecutive service aces from
Bryleigh Schweer. However, the Hogs responded, leveling the score at 7-7 with a kill from Kendall Harrington. The teams traded points until a series of errors allowed the Javelinas to pull ahead 13-12. From there, TAMUK capitalized on LCU's attack errors, extending their lead to 20-14. Rylie Barnett contributed three kills in the closing stretch, and a block by Harrington and Wallace secured the set 25-15 for the Hogs. TAMUK had a 15-8 advantage in kills in the set and hit .538. Workman had a trio of LCU's eight kills in the set.
SET 4 | LCU 25, TAMUK 20
In the fourth set, the Chaparrals secured a 25-20 victory over the Javelinas. The visitors capitalized on strong blocking efforts, with Workman and Schweer combining for pivotal defensive stops. Sikora contributed offensively with multiple kills, including a decisive one that helped LCU maintain their lead. The set concluded with a block by Bickley and Sikora, resulting in an attack error from Pollard of TAMUK, sealing the win for the Lady Chaps. Schweer (4 kills, 2 blocks) and Sikora (4 kills, 2 balance) provided balance in the set for LCU.
