Dual All-Region Accolades Highlight LCU’s Rise Entering NCAA South Central Regional

LUBBOCK, Texas (December 3, 2025) – Lubbock Christian University continued its historic 2025 volleyball season Wednesday, as senior middle blocker Lily Bickley and freshman setter Camdyn Sears earned South Central Region recognition from both the AVCA and D2CCA on the eve of the Lady Chaps' first NCAA Division II postseason appearance.

Bickley was named to the AVCA South Central Region First Team, while Sears collected AVCA Honorable Mention recognition, marking the first AVCA All-Region selections of LCU's NCAA era. The Lady Chaps last produced AVCA honorees as an NAIA program prior to joining NCAA Division II in 2015, making Wednesday's honors the program's first AVCA recognition in more than a decade.

Sears added to her postseason accolades by earning First Team D2CCA All-South Central Region honors and being voted the D2CCA South Central Region Setter of the Year. She becomes LCU's first D2CCA First Team All-Region selection since 2018 and the program's first-ever recipient of D2CCA Setter of the Year. She is also the first Lady Chap to receive D2CCA all-region recognition since Lauren Zoller and Kelsie French in 2018 (French also claimed honors in 2015).

A freshman from Midland, Texas, Sears has authored one of the most productive seasons by a setter in the nation during LCU's 25–7 campaign. She enters postseason play with 1,270 assists, ranking second nationally and leading both the South Central Region and the Lone Star Conference. Her 10.58 assists per set rank 18th nationally and sit atop both regional and conference leaderboards. Sears has also recorded 22 double-doubles, totaled 374 digs and finished the season with a perfect 1.000 reception percentage.
Sears' region honors cap an unprecedented awards haul that includes Lone Star Conference Setter of the Year, LSC Freshman of the Year, First Team All-LSC, LSC All-Freshman Team and LSC Championship All-Tournament Team recognition. She also collected eight LSC weekly awards during the season and became the first player in conference history to earn Setter of the Year and Freshman of the Year honors in the same season. Her assist total ranks as the second-most in program history during the rally-scoring era and stands 10th all-time across all scoring formats (in program history).

Bickley, a senior from Fort Worth, Texas, added AVCA First Team All-Region and D2CCA Second Team All-Region honors to her résumé following her third career All-Conference selection earlier this season. She enters the NCAA Tournament as one of the region's most efficient middle blockers, recording 358 kills with a .329 hitting percentage, which ranks fifth in the Lone Star Conference. She has also totaled 95 blocks, 422 points and averages 2.96 kills per set while anchoring the Lady Chaps' front line.

Bickley's 1,167 career kills rank second in LCU's rally-scoring era, and her postseason accolades accompany academic recognition as well. She was named the Lone Star Conference Academic Player of the Year and selected to the LSC All-Academic Team, underscoring her impact both on the court and in the classroom.

As a team, LCU enters the NCAA postseason as one of the most balanced statistical units in Division II. The Lady Chaps rank fourth nationally in digs per set, 10th in assists per set and 17th in kills per set, while leading the nation in total assists, digs and kills. LCU also ranks first nationally in attacks per set.

The awards come as LCU prepares for its first-ever NCAA Division II postseason appearance and its first national postseason berth since competing in the 2010 NAIA National Championships. The Lady Chaps will open South Central Regional play Thursday at the Auraria Events Center in Denver, facing No. 3 seed Angelo State in a 2:30 p.m. CT matchup. The meeting will mark the third contest between the teams this season, with Angelo State winning the most recent meeting in the Lone Star Conference Championship match.
