Lubbock Christian University snapped a three-match losing streak Saturday with a win over Eastern New Mexico and now begin a two-match divisional road trip, with stops at Texas – Permian Thursday in Odessa, Texas and Western New Mexico Saturday afternoon in Silver City, N.M., seeking to end a four-match road losing streak. LCU sits fourth in their six-team division, with the top four advancing to the 12-team-field Lone Star Conference Championships. UTPB sits in second place (2-2) and WNMU sits in fifth (1-3).

- The Lady Chaps and Falcons first squared off in 1995 and have met 43 times since, with LCU owning a 38-5 series advantage over the Falcons. UTPB had four victories come during the 2005 and 2006 seasons and their fifth win (a 3-2 win in Lubbock on Sept. 28) ended the Lady Chaps 15-match series win streak. LCU is 17-2 all-time in Odessa in the series. This meeting will mark their second LSC meeting. The two programs were former Heartland Conference foes and LCU was 6-0 all-time in Heartland action against the Falcons.
- UTPB was preseason picked 11th in the Lone Star Conference for a second consecutive season. They went 14-16 last season, with a 9-11 mark in conference play (finished seventh). They have already matched last season's win total with a 14-3 overall record. They are 2-2 in the division and 6-2 in LSC matches. They have won four consecutive matches, including their last two home games, where they are 6-1 this season.
- Erika Lozano ranks second in conference games in the LSC with 10 aces in 20 sets for a rate of 0.50 aces per set. They are fourth in the conference in conference competition with 1.46 aces per set.
- UTPB is holding opponents to a .122 hitting percentage, which ranks second in the conference 17
th They also enter the week with a 2.2 mark in blocks per set (fourth in conference).
- Travana Matthews enters the week fourth in the LSC and 39

Avery Moore has been solid for the Lady Chaps since conference play began, leading LCU with 118 kills in conference contests (fourth in conference), with a pace of 3.28 per set (eighth in conference). The right-side hitter has a .268 attack percentage in those contests. Moore leads the LSC in conference attacks with 313.

Maddie DeGuire ranks second in the conference in total digs (346) and is third in digs per set (4.8). Her mark of 185 digs in conference play is third in the LSC (fourth with a pace of 5.14 per set in conference).
