LADY CHAP NOTES
» Lubbock Christian University volleyball (17-4, 9-0 LSC) enters Friday's play riding a 13-match win streak, its longest since a 16-match tear in 2008. The Lady Chaps have opened Lone Star Conference play 9-0 for their best in their NCAA era and the best since they opened Sooner Athletic Conference play 12-0 in 2009. They improved their road record to 7-1 Saturday with a 3-0 win over UT Dallas (in Richardson, Texas) in the first-ever meeting between the two programs. LCU has won seven straight on the road.  LCU is the only remaining unbeaten team in conference play (in the LSC).

» LCU continues to set the offensive standard in the Lone Star Conference, leading the league in both kills per set (14.01) and assists per set (13.33)—ranking No. 19 and No. 13 nationally, respectively. The Lady Chaps also rank 2nd in the LSC and 10th nationally in digs per set (18.58) and are one of the nation's most efficient teams with a .227 attack percentage (5th LSC, 62nd nationally).

» Statistically dominant across the board, LCU leads the LSC in total kills (1,093), assists (1,040), digs (1,449), and total attacks (3,037)—each ranking top 15 nationally. The Lady Chaps also sit among the top 50 nationally in opponent hitting percentage (.151) and top 70 in total blocks (150.5).

» Freshman setter Camdyn Sears has delivered one of the most remarkable debut seasons in program history. She leads the LSC and ranks No. 11 nationally in total assists (788), while standing No. 22 nationally (2nd LSC) in assists per set (10.37). Her 62-assist, 11-dig performance at UT Dallas tied the program record for a four-set match, matched the highest four-set total in NCAA Division II this season, and set a UTD opponent record. She owns 14 double-doubles (five straight) and has guided LCU to the No. 1 assist and kill rate in the LSC.

» Senior middle blocker Lily Bickley continues to anchor the front line and rank among the LSC's elite. She sits 5th in the LSC (No. 103 nationally) in total kills (228) and 8th in total blocks (61) while posting a .328 hitting percentage (5th LSC, 83rd nationally). Bickley averages 2.96 kills per set and 3.51 points per set (12th LSC), with 13 double-figure kill matches this season. She recently earned LSC Offensive Player of the Week (Oct. 21) following a .410 hitting week with 28 kills and 10 blocks.

» Libero Abby Dominguez anchors one of the nation's most efficient back-row defenses. She ranks 3rd in the LSC and 42nd nationally in digs per set (4.95) and 2nd in the LSC (No. 19 nationally) with 386 total digs. Dominguez has produced eight 20+ dig matches this season and leads a defense that ranks among the top 10 nationally in digs per set.

» Freshman outside hitter Emilee Sikora continues to shine as a reliable scorer on the wing, ranking 8th in the LSC (No. 134 nationally) in total kills (218) and 12th in kills per set (3.07). She's hit double figures 11 times this year (seven of her last eight matches) while hitting .215 overall and adding 31 blocks.

» Middle blocker Bryleigh Schweer provides balance and toughness at the net, ranking 6th in the LSC in hitting percentage (.322) and 7th in total blocks (65). She's averaging 2.09 kills and 0.94 blocks per set, with a career-best 19-point performance (15 kills, six blocks, ace) at UT Dallas that earned her a share of the team lead in points.

» Defensive Consistency: The Lady Chaps have out-dug opponents in 17 of 21 matches and are 17–0 this season when winning the dig battle. Opponents are hitting just .151 against LCU, ranking 4th-best in the conference.

» Historic Honors: Following the team's two road wins last week, Camdyn Sears became the first player in Lone Star Conference history to earn both Setter of the Week and Freshman of the Week honors in the same week, while Lily Bickley was named Offensive Player of the Week—marking the first time multiple Lady Chaps have claimed LSC weekly awards in the same week.

» National Profile: LCU ranks No. 2 nationally in total assists, No. 4 in total kills, No. 11 in total digs, and No. 14 in total attacks, while standing top-25 nationally in both assists per set and kills per set.

LOOKING AT TAMIU
- The Lady Chaps were a perfect 16-0 against the Dustdevils all-time until falling 3-1 in their lone 2022 meeting (Oct. 15, 2022). The two teams have since alternated wins over their prior three meetings, which has LCU with a 18-2 all-time against the Dustdevils. LCU is 6-2 all-time in Laredo, where they have dropped their last two visits. Twelve (12) of the 18 victories have come in 3-0 sweeps for LCU (seven of last 13).

- Texas A&M International (3–15, 1–8 LSC) has struggled to find consistency in 2025, sitting near the bottom of the Lone Star Conference standings. The Dustdevils' lone league win came at Sul Ross State on Oct. 4, snapping an early-season skid, but they've since dropped five straight. Offensively, TAMIU has battled through tough stretches against the league's upper tier, having faced eight of the conference's top 10 teams already.

- Senior libero Samantha Estrada has emerged as the defensive backbone for the Dustdevils, ranking among the LSC's top-15 in digs per set (3.80) while leading the team with 232 total digs. She's also one of TAMIU's most effective servers, producing 25 aces—good for top-10 in the conference. Estrada's ability to anchor serve receive and transition quickly into defense has kept the Dustdevils competitive in long rallies and continues to stabilize the team's young backcourt.

- Offensively, Mia Molina and Danea King have paced the Dustdevils with efficient front-row production. Molina leads TAMIU with 147 kills (2.77 per set), while King provides a reliable middle attack, hitting .278—the team's top percentage and 11th-best in the LSC. Together, the duo has combined for over 260 points, offering consistency and leadership for a lineup still developing its offensive rhythm. Their performances highlight TAMIU's potential as the Dustdevils continue building for a strong second half of the season.

- Sophomore setter Natalia Cisneros has taken on a pivotal role directing the Dustdevil attack, averaging 5.19 assists per set. Her 327 total assists lead the team, and she's added balance with 11 service aces and over 100 digs. Despite her first collegiate season, Cisneros has shown strong composure and decision-making, helping stabilize TAMIU's offense while developing quick chemistry with hitters like Molina and King in the front row.
