LOOKING BACK AT THE LAST GAME
Lubbock Christian University improved their win streak to seven games, garnering assists on 27 of their 33 field goals and producing 13 blocks to cruise past Oklahoma Panhandle State University 87-51 in Heartland Conference action Thursday night at Rip Griffin Center.

It was all Lady Chaps in the contest, as LCU opened the game on a 13-0 run. They held OPSU without a field goal for the opening seven minutes of the game. By the time Hannah Tatum connected with OPSU's first field goal, LCU was leading 19-4. LCU received offensive production from 10 different players in the opening half, including 11 points from Bailey Haist. The Lady Chaps led as much as 29 points in the half and led 48-23 at the half off a 56.3% (18/32) shooting performance. They assisted on 16 of 18 field goals, with assists coming from eight different players.

Reserves occupied the floor for much of the second half for LCU. LCU led by at least 34 points over the final 12:45 and led as much as 41 points (83-42) in the game. They held OPSU to 26.3% from the field (10/38) in the second half.

LCU did not have any players play less than 10 minutes and did not have any players play more than 22 minutes. Ten different players accounted for their 27 assists, with eight coming from Haley Burton in 20 minutes of play. LCU also came one block shy of matching their Rip Griffin Center blocks record, as they had 13 in the contest (LCU has produced 30 block in two combined games against OPSU this sea-son). Tess Bruffey produced six blocks and Kellyn Schneider had five.

The Lady Chaps finished the game 55.9% from the field (33/59) and 57.1% (8/14) from three-point range. Haist was 3-of-3 from long range, with Burton (2-of-2) and Blair Taylor (2-of-3) each producing a pair of three-pointers. LCU has now shot over 50% in five of their last six games. Four players were in double figures offensively for LCU, with Allison Szabo leading the way with 14 points. Szabo, who finished with nine rebounds, had eight points and eight rebounds in seven minutes played in the second half. She was joined in double figures by Schneider (11 points), Haist (11 points) and Burton (10 points). OPSU was led in the loss by Kiera Waters and Hannah Tatum, who each had 12 points.

STREAK STILL STANDING
The Lady Chaps have had a lot of streaks over the past three seasons, as they have gone 71-10 since the start of the 2012-2013 season. One streak still remaining is a 21-game home conference win streak. Their last home loss in conference play was Jan. 10, 2013 against Oklahoma City University. They are 15-0 all-time in Heartland Conference home games.

TURNING THIS OVER
The last time LCU forced their opponents into more turnovers than them was Dec. 6 against McMurry. The Lady Chaps have had more turnovers than their opponents in 12 consecutive games. In 10 of those contests, LCU has had 15 or more turnovers. Opponents have only committed more than 15 turnovers in three games over the same span. Despite the high number of turnovers, LCU leads the Heartland Con-ference in assist/turnover ratio (1.1). They lead the conference in assists with 363, which is eighth nation-ally (18.2 per game ranks fifth).

BLOCKING IT OUT

The Lady Chaps lead all NCAA Div. II programs with 181 blocks this season. Their pace of 9.1 leads all NCAA Div. II programs as well. Individually, Kellyn Schneider (79) and Tess Bruffey (65) are both atop the Heartland Conference in blocks. Schneider's 79 blocks (already a Conference and program single sea-son record) ranks fourth amongst NCAA Div. II leaders and Bruffey ranks sixth. The two Lady Chaps marks already have them each in the top-three single-season totals in program history, and they rank in the top five amongst LCU's career leaders as well.

READY, AIM, FIRE
Allison Szabo leads the Heartland Conference with a shooting mark of 55.9% from the field (19th in the nation). The sophomore from Merkel, Texas came off the bench and led LCU with 14 points and 9 re-bounds last Thursday against OPSU. She also leads the conference in free-throw shooting at 87.5% (29th in the nation).

THREE-POINT SHOOTING
LCU leads the conference in individual field goal shooting, free-throw shooting and nearly three-point shooting. Bailey Haist (46.1%) and Blair Taylor (43.9%) are second and third in the conference in three-point individual shooting percentage.

HOT SHOOTING
LCU had only shot 50% or better twice through their first 14 games this season. They head into Thurs-day's game shooting 50% or better in their last four consecutive games played and in five of their last six games. They are 58.1% over their prior four games combined.

CHARITY STRIPE SUCCESS
Prior to making the move to NCAA Division II, LCU was in the top-10 in the NAIA in free-throw shooting for eight consecutive seasons: 12/13 (1st), 11/12 (1st), 10/11 (9th), 09/10 (5th), 08/09 (2nd), 07/08 (1st), 06/07 (6th) and 05/06 (9th). Last season, LCU led the conference with a 78.1% shooting mark from the free-throw line, which ranked fifth in NCAA Division II. Hoppel set the program's single season free-throw shooting mark last season at 93.8%. It broke Nicole Hampton's mark of 92.4% from the 2011-2012 sea-son. This season, LCU ranks second in the Heartland Conference from the charity stripe with a mark of 73.3%.

ABOUT OC
The Lady Eagles enter Thursday's game winners of four of their last five games, including wins in their prior two contests. The run has them 8-11 overall and 5-6 in the conference (tied for sixth). They are 1-5 on the road this season, with a road win at Rogers State (76-67 on Jan.22) serving as the lone win.  A bright note on the season has been the play of McKenzie Stanford, who enters the week fourth in the Heartland Conference with a scoring pace of 16.7 points per game.

THE SERIES AGAINST OC
OC leads the all-time series 29-18 dating back to 1979. Despite trailing the all-time series, LCU has won 14 of the last 17 meetings. Both teams are former Sooner Athletic Conference foes. LCU swept the se-ries last season, winning 108-79 in the prior meeting in Lubbock (Feb. 8, 2014). LCU made a program record 16 three-pointers in the win. LCU won 69-64 in the prior meeting this season in Oklahoma City (Jan. 10, 2015).

LCU would never trail the rest of the way and received a big three-pointer by Haist with 1:48 remaining to turn a 61-60 lead into a 64-60 LCU lead.

The Lady Chaps, coming off one of their worst contests in recent memory Thursday, shuffled the starting line-up Saturday, with ClaIre Bruffey, Callie Sandusky and Morgan Dean receiving their first career start.
