LUBBOCK, Texas (October 24, 2017) – Lubbock Christian University, coming off the heels of a 3-2 win over Arkansas-Fort Smith, which ended the Lions 43-match conference win streak, looks to keep their hot play at home rolling Tuesday, hosting West Texas A&M for a non-conference contest at 7 p.m. inside Rip Griffin Center. The Lady Chaps are riding a five-match win streak at home and have won five of their last seven matches overall.

• Heading into this matchup, the Lady Buffs hold a 28-9-1 all time record against the Lady Chaps, winning the prior meeting 3-1 on Oct. 11, 2016 in Canyon, Texas. WTAMU's previous meeting in Lubbock resulted in a 3-1 win by WTAMU on Oct. 24, 2014. The last time LCU defeated WTAMU in Lubbock was on Sept. 18, 1979.
• The Lady Buffs, who are 3-3 against Heartland Conference teams this season, were preseason picked fifth in the Lone Star Conference. WTAMU, 7-4 in non-conference play, is 8-6 in the LSC and in fifth place.

Channing Stewart produced 22 kills Saturday over Arkansas – Fort Smith for her fourth consecutive match with at least 10 kills. She did not have a match in double figures in kills this season prior to the current four-match stretch. Stewart received 67 kill attempts in the match Saturay, which is the most in her LCU career and the most attempts by a Lady Chap since Kacey Deterding received 68 attempts on Nov. 7, 2013.
