LADY CHAP NOTES
» Lubbock Christian University volleyball (11-4, 2-0 LSC) has surged into Saturday riding a seven-match win streak, its longest since a seven-match tear to open the 2023 season. The Lady Chaps opened Lone Star Conference play 3-0 for the first time since 2021 Friday following a 3-1 road win in San Antonio, Texas over St. Mary's. LCU extended their road win streak to three straight (3-1) with the win over the Rattlers. The Lady Chaps are one of four unbeaten teams in conference play in the LSC.

The Midland native tallied 92 assists on the week (11.5/set), including a league-best 54 vs. Western New Mexico, while adding 23 digs and seven kills. She posted 15 assists in the fourth set Friday en route to a 46-assist performance.

LOOKING AT SEU
- The Lady Chaps and Hilltoppers are meeting for a 29
th time all-time, as LCU has a 18-10 all-time advantage in the series (dates back to the 1987 season). LCU has won the previous three meetings, including a 3-2 win in the last meeting (Nov. 11, 2024 in Austin). In Austin, LCU has a slim 8-6 edge head-to-head against SEU. The Hilltoppers showed early promise with home wins over UT Dallas and Cameron but have stumbled against UTPB, Angelo State, UT Tyler and MSU. SEU had four September matches canceled due to injuries.
- SEU welcomed Jeremy Garcia as their new head volleyball coach this season. He previously served at Duke as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator, guiding nationally ranked classes and standout middle blockers. Garcia also coached at Penn State, Texas, and Austin Juniors, gaining experience in recruiting, defensive strategy, and player development, with multiple regional and national honors throughout his career.
