» Lubbock Christian (24–6) delivered one of its strongest conference campaigns ever, finishing 15–2 in the Lone Star Conference to claim a share of the regular-season title—its first in the LSC and 14th conference crown overall. The Lady Chaps opened league play 11–0, highlighted by a dominant four-match road sweep of St. Mary's, St. Edward's, Eastern New Mexico and UT Tyler. Their balance carried them through October with wins over Cameron, Oklahoma Christian, UT Dallas, Texas A&M International and Texas A&M–Kingsville. After a narrow five-set loss at West Texas A&M and a sweep by Angelo State, LCU sealed the championship with a dramatic 3–2 Senior Night win over Midwestern State. The opened the postseason Thursday with a thrilling 3-2 win over Oklahoma Christian to garner their 24
th win of the season, which is their highest single-season win mark since a 24-win 2012 campaign.
» The Lady Chaps are in the LSC Championships for a second consecutive season and are making their fourth LSC Championships appearance (seventh season in the LSC) and are 2-3 all-time in the championships. Last season, LCU went to Canyon, Texas as the No.8-seed and lost to No.1-seed and host No.5 West Texas A&M. LCU is making their second trip to San Angelo for a conference championship tournament, as they made the trip to the Concho Valley in 2021 in head coach
Keith Giboney's first season at LCU. That season, the No.3-seeded Lady Chaps defeated No.6-seed Dallas Baptist, but fell to No.10-seed St. Edward's. Historically,

Keith Giboney was named LSC Coach of the Year, claiming his first personal Coach of the Year conference honor since 2007 and sixth in his career (the prior five were in the Gulf South Conference).
» Lubbock Christian enters the Semifinals still operating as the Lone Star Conference's top offensive unit, leading the league in kills per set (14.03) and assists per set (13.34), marks that rank No. 23 and No. 10 nationally. The Lady Chaps also remain third in the LSC and 10th nationally in digs per set at 19.53, while hitting .216 on the season.
» LCU continues to post unmatched statistical volume in NCAA Division II.
The Lady Chaps now rank No. 1 nationally in total kills (1,627), total assists (1,548), and total attacks (4,732), while standing No. 4 nationally in total digs (2,266). Their 40.79 attacks per set remain sixth nationally, and their 214.5 total blocks sit sixth in the LSC.

Camdyn Sears' All-American trajectory continues, ranking No. 1 in the LSC and No. 9 nationally with 1,139 total assists, while sitting No. 22 nationally and No. 1 in the LSC at 10.54 assists per set. Following her 63-assist, 24-dig performance vs. Oklahoma Christian, she now has 20 double-doubles and 349 digs (3.06 per set), ranking 17th in the LSC in total digs.
» Senior middle blocker
Lily Bickley remains one of the most efficient attackers in the league, ranking 5th in the LSC in hitting percentage (.329), 8th in total kills (343), 8th in total blocks (91), and 12th in points per set (3.52). Her 820 total attacks now rank 17th nationally, and her 16-kill outing vs. OC marked the 60th double-digit kill match of her career.
» Freshman outside hitter
Emilee Sikora continues to be one of the LSC's elite young scorers. She ranks 9th in kills per set (3.27) and 13th in points per set (3.50), while her 356 total kills are 7th in the LSC and 91st nationally. Her 1,082 total attacks rank fourth nationally, and her 23-kill, 73-swing performance vs. OC pushed her to 18 double-digit kill matches on the year.

Abby Dominguez anchors one of Division II's top back rows, ranking third in the LSC and No. 47 nationally at 4.98 digs per set, with her 578 total digs sitting 21st nationally. Her 37 digs vs. OC marked her 13th 20+ dig match this season, and she remains just the 10th player of the rally-scoring era to surpass 500 digs in a season.
» Junior middle blocker
Bryleigh Schweer continues her strong senior campaign, ranking 8th in the LSC in blocks per set (0.91) and 6th in total blocks (96). She is now hitting .284, owns 54 block assists and 6 solo blocks, and has recorded 11 double-digit kill matches this season.
» Senior outside hitter
Payton Murray followed her career-high 18 kills vs. MSU with 21 more vs. OC, giving her 223 total kills (2.75 per set). She now has nine double-figure kill matches this season and 36 in her career, along with a season total of 70 digs.
» LCU's balanced defensive core remains one of its defining traits, with five players averaging at least 2.0 digs per set and seven players recording 20 or more blocks. The Lady Chaps now average 19.53 digs per set, the third-best mark in the LSC and the second-best single-season average of the rally-scoring era. Their 137 digs vs. OC remain the second-most in program history.
» LCU's 272 attacks, 81 kills, and 79 assists vs. Oklahoma Christian all rank among the top-two single-match totals in program rally-era history. The Lady Chaps are now 5–3 in five-set matches, including 1–1 in neutral-site five-setters.
LOOKING AT TWU
- TWU has an 8-6 edge in the all-time series between the two programs. The Pioneers had a three-match win streak in the series to enter this season, but it was interrupted with a 3-2 LCUJ win Halloween Night (Oct. 31) in Lubbock. The first four all-time meetings (of the 14) were neutral site meetings and played between 1979 and 1988, as the teams are meeting on a neutral site floor Friday for the first time since a 3-0 TWU win Oct. 7, 1988 in Wichita Falls, Texas (TWU is 3-1 against LCU in neutral site play). TWU is 1-0 all-time against LCU in postseason play, as the Pioneers upset LCU 3-2 in Lubbock in the opening round of the 2019 LSC Championship (Nov. 19, 2019).
- Lubbock Christian edged Texas Woman's in a five-set battle on Oct. 31, winning 3-2 ( 25–15, 20–25, 21–25, 25–20, 15–13). LCU's massive defensive effort (125 digs) and balanced attack (70 kills) carried the night, led by
Emilee Sikora's 15 kills and a 54-assist, 22-dig performance from setter
Camdyn Sears. TWU countered with 60 kills and 115 digs, highlighted by 16 kills each from Tori Woods and Myracle Stockman and 42 digs from libero Alyssa Rojo. LCU controlled the opening set and delivered key late points in the fifth to secure the lone regular-season meeting.
- Texas Woman's wrapped up an 18–10 regular season marked by resilience, key conference wins, and one of the nation's top defenses, ranking sixth nationally in both digs (19.4/set) and blocks (2.6/set). Led by hitters Tori Woods and Myracle Stockman, setter Kiana Reed, and libero Alyssa Rojo, the Pioneers battled through multiple five-set matches and lineup shifts to earn the No. 6 seed. TWU now enters the LSC Tournament battle-tested after pushing West Texas A&M in their earlier meeting.
- Texas Woman's celebrated four All-LSC honorees at the conference banquet. Libero Alyssa Rojo was named LSC Newcomer of the Year and earned Second Team honors after leading the league in digs. Senior Tori Woods earned First Team All-LSC and All-Academic honors, reaching 1,000 career kills and digs. Senior Myracle Stockman collected her first All-LSC nod on the Second Team, while redshirt freshman Benedite Anuman earned Honorable Mention and All-Freshman recognition.
- Texas Woman's upset No. 17 West Texas A&M 3–1 in the LSC quarterfinals, rallying after a 25–23 first-set loss to dominate the final three sets behind stout defense and 14 blocks. TWU held WT to a season-low .077 hitting percentage and allowed just 14.5 points per set over the last two frames. Tori Woods led with 18 kills, while Myracle Stockman and Benedite Anuman added 15 and 10. The win is TWU's first over WT in the LSC Tournament and first ranked victory of the season, sending the Pioneers to their first semifinal since 2019.
