LADY CHAP NOTES
» Lubbock Christian sits at 9–4 overall, as they conclude their opening week of LSC play. They opened the season with a grueling stretch of 10 matches in nine days before winning each of their two games of the Lone Star Conference Crossover (first time ever). » Setter
Camdyn Sears earned Lone Star Conference
Setter of the Week after handing out 88 assists in seven sets at the Crossover. Her 43 assists vs. OC were the most by a Lady Chap in a three-set match since 2014. She ranks No. 15 nationally (No. 1 in the LSC) in total assists (425).

Lily Bickley's 13 kills and
Emilee Sikora's nine kills with a career-high four blocks. Setter

Abby Dominguez tallied 17 digs. The victory marked LCU's 20th straight over SRSU and improved their all-time series lead to 39-11.
» LCU has hit .300-or-better in three consecutive matches and helping the mark is

LOOKING AT WNMU
- LCU and Western New Mexico are meeting for the 17th time all-time, marking the seventh meeting as conference foes. LCU has won the prior eight meetings, which have been since 1996 (last six meetings have been since 2009). LCU's eight-match win streak in the series has them leading the series 9-7 (the series goes back to 1986). LCU is 2-2 all-time in Lubbock against WNMU, winning their previous meeting in Lubbock 3-1 (Nov. 5, 2022). The Mustangs have only made two trips to Lubbock since 1993.
- Western New Mexico sits at 5–6 overall after Friday's 3-0 loss at Midwestern State in their LSC opener. The Mustangs have shown flashes of strong play, winning three of their last six matches, including sweeps of Western Colorado and Millersville, but have dropped two straight. In their preconference play, their lineup navigated 10 matches in three weeks, splitting tournaments in Colorado Springs and at home in Silver City (hosted two tournaments).
- Statistically, the Mustangs sit near the middle of the pack in most offensive categories, averaging 11.0 kills per set and hitting .187 (10th in the LSC). Where they stand out is at the net, ranking third in the conference and 30th nationally in blocks per set (2.4), while holding opponents to a .149 attack percentage, the second-best mark in the LSC.
- Senior middle blocker Daphne Posthumus headlines the attack with 102 kills while ranking sixth in the LSC in hitting percentage (.321) and second in blocks per set (1.15). Fellow middle Brynlee Barris adds 43 total blocks and a .286 hitting clip. Setter Hannah Haggard directs the offense with 240 assists (5.85/set), ranking 10th in the conference, while libero Mikelle McAfee anchors the back row at 4.54 digs per set (seventh in the LSC).
- While serving has been a challenge at times (1.11 aces per set, 15th in the LSC), WNMU has found success through balance and defensive depth. McAfee leads the team in total digs (186), while Posthumus contributes 3.28 points per set, good for 16th in the league.
