Brandon Jones was tough on both defense and offense for the Chaparral basketball team from 2001 to 2005, earning induction into the LCU Athletic Hall of Honor in 2016 for his performance at both ends of the court.

He is one of only two NAIA All-Americans (Third Team or higher) in the history of men's basketball at Lubbock Christian University. Brandon was named to the Third Team as a junior in 2004 and followed up with an Honorable Mention honor the following season.

By using his diverse skill set, Jones made his way to the top of the Chap record books with his 293 career three pointers as well as ranking fourth in blocked shots with 93. His 1,597 points scored is fourth-best in LCU history, and the guard also sits in the top-five with his 581 field goals made and a 42.7 three point percentage.

The Frenship High School product earned First Team All-Sooner Athletic Conference accolades as a junior while leading the Chaps in playing time, total points and three pointers with averages of 15.9 points and five rebounds. Brandon was recognized as a Second Team SAC member his senior year. His 1.26 blocks per game was fourth-best in the league, while his 16.5 points per game ranked him seventh. Brandon compiled a career-high 33 points versus Oklahoma City University on 10-of-13 shooting and an even more impressive 7-of-9 from beyond the arc.  Brandon finished his four-year career with averages of 14.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 0.9 blocks.

Jones is married to former LCU volleyball player Mindy (Ratliff), who was also inducted into the LCU Athletic Hall of Honor for her skills on the volleyball court in 2007. They live in Canyon, Texas, where Brandon serves as a coach and educator. His younger sister, Bailey Jones (now Bailey Hall) was a member of the LCU volleyball team.
