Hall of Honor
The Monahans, Texas product was part of the inaugural LCU softball program in 2008, which claimed a NAIA championship title. She was a junior on the squad (transferred in from Western Texas College) and claimed NAIA National Tournament MVP honors. The same season, she claimed Sooner Athletic Conference Player of the Year by leading the conference with a .474 batting average and producing a national best 87 runs-batted-in.
Hawkins produced a .449 batting average in her two-year career, with 33 doubles, 25 home runs, 136 RBI and 145 runs in 131 games. After her playing career, she participated against the USA softball national team in a Summer Olympics tune-up game and then jumped into the coaching realm.
She served as an assistant coach for Texas Tech and Lubbock Christian before taking over the reins at Clarendon College. Hawkins recently moved to Phoenix and is a sales representative in the softball industry.
