When it came time for the Lubbock media to vote on the Lubbock Christian baseball All-Decade Team of the 1970s, it was Time Leslie who was selected to the first base position. In 1977, which was his first year with the Chaps, Leslie was named the team's freshman of the year, batting .297 in 232 at-bats. He only improved from there on out.

The two-time First Team All-American selection posted a career batting average of .374 during his four years as a Chap infielder while playing in 287 games, which is the third most in school history, behind only Randy Velarde and Steve Brigante. He is still the school record-holder in runs batted in (295) and doubles (66), while ranking second in total hits (350) and third in home runs (59).

Leslie's 1977 freshman season marked the first-ever for the Chaps to reach the NAIA World Series, as they captured the District VIII Title in Arlington and the Area II Title in Huntsville. LCU got one win at the World Series and finished tied for fifth after losing to defending national champion Lewis-Clark State and eventual Champion David-Lipscomb.

The Lubbock native and Monterrey H.S. graduate went on to hit .417 as a sophomore and .390 as a junior. After his stellar sophomore season, he toured Korea and Taiwan as a part of an NAIA All-Star Team.

As a senior, Leslie hit .389 with 21 home runs (both marks leading the team) as the Chaps swept through the District VIII Tournament, captured the Area II Title and reached the NAIA World Series for the second time in school history.

In 1990, along with being inducted into the LCU Athletic Hall of Honor, Leslie was honored as a member of the NAIA Baseball Hall of Fame.

An Academic All-American selection as well, Leslie majored in biology while in school and went on to become a dentist who still practices in the Lubbock area.
